Morning verse : Acts 13:1-9

The last bit of the prayer item in 2 Corinthians 13:14 has to do with fellowship with the Holy Spirit. God is relational in nature. He wants His children to seek Him not just for what they desire but for rapport. In our text, the disciples gathered in fasting just to do one thing, and that was to fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Then, the Holy Spirit spoke and released two men into their life's assignments. Fellowship is the breeding ground for the supernatural. Life assignments are well defined on the platform of fellowship. Do we realise that we can experience a release of awesome grace just by fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit? Let us create time for fellowship alone with Him and be stunned with what God alone can make happen.

Evening verse : Psalms 50:5-6; 14-15

God loves the gathering of His saints. He loves their fellowship. He enjoys, craves for and is blessed by it. The 5th and 6th verses of our text tonight make this clear. While in fellowship with God, the saints offer thanksgiving (flagrant expression of worship) and pay their vows (present evidences of their acts of obedience) to the Lord. The saints have a reward for these. It is the undivided attention of God and speedy dispatch of response to their calls for help in time of trouble. Can we give the Lord the pleasure of our worship, praise and attention? He longs for them. He is pleased with them. Who receives the blessings? We, of course!
